SoundWave Programming Options

SoundWave Professional Suite Software

Programming software and fitting system used exclusively by cochlear implant fitting professionals to maximize your hearing performance with the Harmony HiResolution Bionic Ear System.

The Most Advanced Programming Options
Six distinct strategy options are available during the fitting process to select the ones that best fit individual hearing needs. Flexibility and choice means recipients can compare and evaluate hearing performance with a variety of parameter variations and programming options.

Choices in HiResolution Sound Processing Programs

  • HiRes-P (paired)
  • HiRes-P with Fidelity 120™*
  • HiRes-S (sequential)
  • HiRes-S with Fidelity 120*

Additional choices for conventional sound processing

  • CIS
  • MPS

Faster and Easier
SoundWave typically reduces programming time by 50%–70%* and requires recipients to make significantly fewer hearing judgments. Speed and ease in creating HiResolution Programs are critical for young children with short attention spans.

Unsurpassed Programming Flexibility
Only SoundWave offers clinicians the ability to select from multiple sound processing strategies, including HiResolution strategies. Within a selected strategy, automated parameter management saves valuable time while optimizing programs. Programmable features such as input dynamic range, volume, sensitivity, and gain provide further recipient satisfaction and performance, such as to listening to music or hearing in noisy environments.

Programmable Sound Window
Designed to capture the most complete sound picture, the Programmable Sound Window is important because sounds may come from anywhere at anytime—and usually at the same time! SoundWave’s wide sound window captures meaningful sounds so recipients don’t have to flip a switch to access soft or loud sounds—they receive it all.

Neural Response Imaging (NRI)
NRI is a diagnostic feature of SoundWave that measures signal responses of the hearing nerves. NRI is designed to help optimize the fitting process and assist in programming young children. Measurements are acquired while a recipient watches a video, reads, or plays quietly; recording NRI is fast, simple, and reliable.

IntelliLink™ Safety Feature
An unprecedented safety feature programmed by SoundWave that is especially important for young children and bilateral recipients, Intellilink locks customized programs to the recipient’s specific implant so that the implant cannot be activated with a different processor.

*Within the United States of America only, HiRes Fidelity 120 is an optional feature for adults only. See package insert for details.
